Johnson Space Center – one of the most important complexes of the United States’ space program.

Hermann Park – located near Houston’s biggest museums, Hermann Park has much to explore. From the gorgeous Japanese Garden, Miller Outdoor Theatre, to the totally cute Hermann Park Railroad – you’re going to love visiting.

Cockrell Butterfly Center – A huge glass-enclosed butterfly ecosystem that includes thousands of colorful species of butterflies.

BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir – located in the southwest edge of Houston, the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir (temple) is totally gorgeous to see.

Buffalo Bayou Park – Enjoy a day of fun or relaxing. There is a skateboarding park, playground, picnic pavilion, and a tributary where you can enjoy a day of kayaking or paddle boarding.

Gerald D. Hines Waterwall – Pretty and unique, something you don’t want to miss! It is a man-made waterfall and if you stand too close on a windy day you will get soaked!

If you want to head to the beach and relax Galveston is only a short drive away from Houston. There is also a historic part of Galveston that you don’t want to forget to explore while you’re there!

There are three things you must eat in Houston: Tex-Mex, Cajun, and BBQ. For Tex-Mex some great options are Pappasito’s, Lupe Tortilla and El Tiempo. For Cajun, Ragin’ Cajun near the theatre district of downtown or BB’s are great choices.  For BBQ choose from Killen’s BBQ or Pappa’s BBQ!
