If we look at the basics from our company, there were over 6000 copiers sold in all of our branches, and 99% of them DID include a service plan. One thing to note, though they were included, they were not free.
What is included in a service plan?
Knowing your quote covers service, there are some basics of a service plan you’ll want to know which we will cover here.
What is generally covered:
- Toner cartridges
- Drums (Also called OPC drums)
- Fusers
- Waste Containers
- Ozone Filters
- Parts
- Labor
- Travel Time
What is generally NOT covered:
- Paper
- Abuse
- Acts of God
- Computer Networking (Unless you are also on a managed IT plan)

Most companies will shoot for responding within 2 hours and resolving within 2 days. Of course most should get resolved faster than 2 days. It can take longer if you happen to be in a super remote part of the USA.
