Aurora, Colorado

Copier Lease Center has Xerox and Canon copiers to lease or buy in Aurora, Colorado. Just four miles east of Denver, Aurora is Colorado’s third-largest city. While there are many things to do in Aurora, the art scene here is astounding. There are many free public art pieces, amazing live shows, and also a war memorial that is itself a work of art.

The Colorado Freedom Memorial

The Colorado Freedom Memorial is the first memorial in America dedicated to all branches of the military and all wars. It contains the names of all those, specifically from Colorado, who died in those wars. Glass panels hold the names of over 6,000 soldiers. These panels are positioned in such a way to represent the Rocky Mountain profile. The entire memorial, from the walk up to it to the actual panels themselves is a crafted work of art. It is designed to replicate the divide created by war and the emotional instability of loss.

Art in Public Spaces

The Art in Public Places Program established public pieces of artwork in nine districts of Aurora. Of these nine districts, the Aurora Cultural Arts District/Anschutz has 25 different public art pieces from murals, statues, and more. The other eight districts that display some form of creative public art include: Buckley District, Fairgrounds/Southlands, Gateway Park District, Havana District, I-225/City Center, Murphy Creek District, Smoky Hill Cornerstar, and the Sports Park District.

Gaylord Rockies Resort and Convention Center

Gaylord Rockies is the best live show entertainment venue in Aurora. Their best performance, one could argue, is their entire Christmas season. Christmas at Gaylord Rockies lasts from mid-November to January, and this holiday celebration is one of the best in the area. There are daily live performances, acres of holiday lights and decorations to explore, kid-friendly activities like gingerbread decorating and ice skating, all finished off with a New Year’s Eve Gala called Big Night Rockies. This is a one night event with eight live shows on five different stages.
